The Issues and Other Information
● Anchor Babies: Immediately end the granting of automatic citizenship to those who happen to be born in America by non citizens, and remove the privilege to act as anchors for immigration to all those who have already received citizenship under those circumstances.
● U.S. Relations with Israel: I do not support a two state solution for the state
of Israel. I believe in a fifty-
● Border Security: We should better secure our borders by expanding the duties of the Coast Guard to become the Coast and Border Guard
● Legal Immigration: I would give preference to immigrants who first prove mastery of the English language, a thorough understanding and commitment to our founding principles, and are sponsored by American families who are willing to take financial responsibility for them during there probationary stay.
● Department of Education: I would abolish the Federal Department of Education and publicly encourage parental control of educational choices.
● Entitlements: Get the Federal government out of the entitlement business altogether, while fulfilling the promises already given to those who truly need it.
● Illegal Immigration: Remove them from our country under the threat of confiscation
of property, fines for them and those that knowingly employ them, and criminal penalties.
Only allow them to apply for re-
● Taxes: I support an end to personal income tax, and a return to the Founder’s plan of taxing the states in proportion to their percentage of the national population. I do not support a national sales tax, value added tax, or flat tax – they are all contrary to the ideals of this country’s founding.
● Money: Replace the Federal Reserve with Congressional control of our currency, and replace Federal Reserve notes with currency backed by precious metals. Appoint Ron Paul as Secretary of the Treasury.
● Promise not to become a Career Politician: If elected, I vow to serve no longer
than one -
● Obamacare: I would repeal and replace it with a system that returns to a free market approach based on the individual doctor/patient relationship.
● Sovereignty: The U.S. needs to reaffirm its sovereignty from any global trade, finance, or political organizations that do not treat the United States as a sovereign partner, but a subservient client.
● Bonus Position: I support mandatory and random drug testing of both Houses of Congress as part of the House rules.
● Energy: I would promote responsible exploration and drilling for oil and gas everywhere in America: onshore, offshore and immediately in Alaskan, approve the Keystone Pipeline, and exploit our abundance of natural gas.
● Use of Censure and Impeachment: I believe it is the duty of the Legislative branch to exercise its powers to first censure, then impeach under extreme or repetitious circumstances, all Federal Judges and Executive Officers whenever they digress from the Constitution's founding principles. Under present circumstances of gross and blatant abuse of constitutional intent by all levels of the federal courts, and executive branch, I believe these powers should be exercised frequently, not rarely.
● State's Rights and EPA: I support the original intent of the 10th Amendment, and repeal of the Environmental Protection Agency while replacing it with state control of environmental concerns within the individual states.
● Federal Lands: Return all federal lands, besides those used for reasons specifically enumerated in the constitution, to state control. Utah could voluntarily enter into a pact to keep some nation parks in a new national park system that is run with representation from the states the national parks are in. There is no one issue more important to me when representing Utah, than to win sovereign ownership of our federal lands
● Entitlements: Get the Federal government out of the entitlement business altogether, while fulfilling the promises already given to those who truly need it.
● War: I will follow the Constitution and insist that our military forces do not go to war without the support of a Congressional Declaration of War which should clarify: who we are at war with, why, what we want to accomplish, how we will pay for it, our rules of engagement, what circumstance will end it.
18 Political Celebrities I Almost Always Agree With
Five of my Contributions to Utah Politics:
1. I forced Chris Cannon into a Primary after his first term in office by revealing the betrayal of constitutional principles in his voting record, and got the ball rolling for his eventual replacement, as he never went unchallenged in the party again.
2. A few weeks after seeing that I was able to force incumbent Chris Cannon
into a Primary, spending just $500 of my own money, and with the help of a couple
of dozen motivated volunteers (compared to Chris Cannons $500,000 and a large paid
staff), the incumbent-
3. I made a strong political enemy of then governor Mike Leavitt by being the
only person on the stage at the Utah County Republican Convention to refuse to give
him a standing ovation as he came to the podium to speak. This resulted in him making
a robo-
4. When Senator Bennett was instrumental in resurrecting the bail out bill
and getting other moderate republicans to help pass it, I decided he had to go and
I was going to help in his going, so I filed as one of his seven Republican challengers.
At the first debate I was quite impressed with the quality of some of the other candidates,
especially Mike Lee, but saw no one was being very tough on Senator Bennett, because
they didn’t want to be branded a negative candidate. So I decided not to focus on
my own election, but to be the one that attacked Bob Bennett for his policies at
each debate, and give any undecided delegates plenty of reasons not to vote for him.
I even spoke to him privately several times trying to convince him to save face and
retire because the outcome seemed to have been decided on the caucus night. When
I drew the speaking spot directly after Senator Bennett at the State Convention,
I made the decision to sacrifice most of my time, not to urge delegates to vote for
me, but to undo any influence Senator Bennett’s magic bullet at the convention, Mitt
Romney, might do in influencing delegates to re-
5. In the 2008 convention hundreds of delegates, whose respect I had earned, came up and asked who I recommended among the final challengers. I had intended to stay neutral, in part because I had developed such good relations with all the other challengers I thought one might eventually put me on their staff, but I couldn’t help doing the right thing instead of putting my personal gain first, so I shared with them the several reasons I thought Mike would make the best Senator. Most of those hundreds of delegates then told me that my one on one argument for Mike Lee was the final factor in them choosing to back him, and I believe if I had not done that, Mike Lee would not have made it out of Convention, where he narrowly missed getting eliminated by 4%.
